Last year in August I was retrenched from work. I couldn’t believe it – even though all along there had been signs that the business wasn’t doing so well e.g. lost a lot of clients and there were a lot of cut downs as to the use of the phone, internet etc.

I went into panic mode, thinking that my life would never be the same again, and that I’d never find a job or employees who would treat me as good as my old boss. Months passed and I was applying to a lot of different companies… but nothing. Then I remembered that I still had The Secret DVD, so I decided to watch it as a reminder that it’s all up to me, that the universe conspires to help you get what you want.

After watching the DVD I went to the internet cafe and started looking for a job with a different mindset: I will get a job that I deserve with the pay that I want and it will be close to home. The first job ad I saw was for a job 15 mintues away from home and for the exact amount I’d asked for!

I was stunned and applied right away. Within 5 minutes I was called in for an interview and that job was mine. I have been working here for a month and can truly say that The Secret is real.
