Thank you all for your amazing stories. Today I was reading one of the stories when suddenly I got an urge to tell you all one story in my life.

I came across The Secret in 2006 when I was 16. I and my best friend loved the thought of being magical and having a personal genie saying “Your wish is my command”. Two teenagers fascinated by this idea started building dreams. One such dream was that as best friends, we wanted to stay together. We didn’t like parting every evening after school. We wanted to stay together, play together and go to school together like we were sisters.

We used to talk a lot on phone, sms and chatting. We used to talk about our dream to stay together and explore the world together. When our parents came to know that we both plan to stay together in the future, they thought we were crazy. Why dream something that would never fulfill. They thought that we would part ways as we go to college or work.

Well they didn’t know that we had something special and though we tried to explain it to them, they didn’t listen. So we kept our dream to ourselves. We hid our dream from the naysayers, but we never gave up on it. We were grateful for the time we would be together, we would make stories as if we were together in the future. If not in the real world, at least in an imaginary world, we were together.

As time past we both studied in the same class in the same school, went to different branches of engineering but in the same college together and we worked at different companies but in the same city

Later I had to move to Pune for my job. But we both didn’t think we were parting. It was more like I am going to Pune first, so that I can get the house and other things ready so that my friend could then come and stay with me.

Six months past and I went for a visit to my home town. On my return journey I booked my friend’s ticket too. She convinced her parents to allow her to visit with me for a few weeks and they agreed.

During the previous six months she had come to visit me once and she used the locality to visualize that she got a posting in Pune. She filled her desktop with her company’s Pune branch photos. When all her co-students who got selected in her company were putting in requests, she said she will be posted in Pune. She was grateful for all things about Pune.

So this time when she came to visit me in Pune, she never left. Just 2 days after we arrived in Pune, she got a call that her posting was in Pune and she had to join in two days!

Now it’s been a year and a half since we both have been are staying together. We our living our dream of staying together as sisters.

Thank you so much. We are both  are very grateful to The Secret. Now, slowly, even our parents are understanding The Secret . We both had studied in the same class in same school, in the same college and different companies in the same city but this time we both are staying together in the same house and dreaming and thanking every day.
