In 2007, my partner gave me a trip to Scotland to celebrate my 50th birthday. Great, right?

The problem was I was overwhelmed with concern about leaving my aging parents. I had just found The Secret, but had not really absorbed the material. One thing after another went wrong, late flights, a broken camera, you name it. All because I couldn’t trust the universe to take care of my folks.

Now, fast forward to 2012, 5 years of knowing The Secret. Back to Scotland, EVERY detail was perfect. Every connection, and there were many, went seamlessly. I have never had a better overseas trip. All because I finally got “the secret”.
