This may be a tad lengthy but please read through to the end. I really want to encourage you and inspire your belief.

I first was introduced to The Secret and thus the law of attraction, in 2011. Over the last 9 years, I’ve had periods of really lining up with the Universe. I have also had times of living on autopilot and thus out of sync with the Universe. This story is about my employment.

Earlier in the year, I had a falling out with my then supervisor. For the next 7 months, she worked to discredit me, made me look bad, and blatantly lied on my evaluations to paint me in a negative light. She took actions that could ruin my career at the university, among other things.

Just recently, I was called to a meeting with the Executive Director and the HR person for the department. I was told I was being ‘non-renewed’, effective immediately. I was in a state of disbelief and anger.

Now allow me to say that I had been mostly negative about the supervisor, the department, and the given responsibilities since the incident earlier this year. So I am not going to discount the role I played in ultimately losing the job.

However, as I was leaving the meeting, I immediately felt a sense of relief and appreciation. I thought about how each morning I would dread logging into my computer and seeing what negative thing were being pinned on me, or what tedious task were being thrown my way out of spite. I felt the relief of knowing that I would never have to deal with any of it again. I just knew things were working out for my greater good.

As I made phone calls to my colleagues, I could hear and feel their disbelief, anger, and helplessness. Yet, I was in a state of peace and knowing.

Within 2 weeks, I received a phone call from a department I had applied to 5 months prior. I had a wonderful phone interview that led to being offered a final Zoom interview the next day.

Now, give me a quick second to tell you that this position was perfect in every way for me! I knew it when I saw it and when I had applied for it 5 months ago. I had never wavered that it would be mine. The responsibilities were exactly what I wanted and enjoy doing, the pay was higher, and it had a significantly lighter workload.

So then, the Zoom interview happened. From the moment I laid eyes on the Assistant Director, who was the person I would be reporting to, it just felt right. The interview was the most informal interview I’ve ever had and it went fabulous! He informed me that he would actually be making his decision the same day and I would hear back from him that afternoon.

Well, I’m sure you know where this is going! I received the call at 1:15 PM. I was offered the position for the maximum pay and a start date of next Friday!!

You must understand this is simply unheard of at the university! There is no way that you can lose a position and be rehired in another department within 2 weeks! However, I am living proof that the Universe doesn’t operate according to man’s procedures, time periods, or processes!

However, I’m not done quite yet. The previous department had to pay me a lump sum because they terminated my contract. I decided to call central HR because I had never been in this situation before and I wanted to be sure that I wouldn’t have to pay the money back to my previous department. HR confirmed that the money was mine to keep!!

I had already planned on purchasing my first home in the next few months and I had asked the Universe to give me the money to furnish it. Well, look what happened! I got the money I asked for and more!!!

Oh, and one final thing. The university was on a hiring freeze and the departments have to fight hard for and justify new hires. That was one of the reasons my position took 5 months. However, my supervisor informed me that once the clearance was received, he wanted the new hire to be able to start right away. Had I still been with the former department, I would have had to give 30 days notice. But because they non-renewed me, effective immediately, I was able to start with the new department right away! The Universe’s timing is always perfect!!

There’s nothing too big for our Universe. No task too daunting, no situation too dire. The Universe provides if only you will allow and get into agreement with the well-being that surrounds us all. Everything is working out for your greater good, even when it doesn’t appear to be. The Universe is always working behind the scenes to deliver your desires to you in the most fabulous ways! Here I am in an overwhelmingly better environment, making more money, with my own office, autonomy, and responsibilities that I enjoy. I also now have the money I needed to furnish my new home when I close on it later in the year!!

Believe. Feel. Trust. Every desired thing is yours to have if you will just allow.
