So this is the second story I’ve written here and although it’s not as exciting as the first one I submitted, this event left me speechless and I just had to share.

So around the beginning of December, I go to brush my teeth and discover that we’re almost out of toothpaste. This may not sound like such a big deal to most people, but it was to me. I knew I didn’t have the money to buy more, with Christmas coming up and everything. I was going through a hard time financially. But I knew The Secret. I put my wish out there for more toothpaste and totally forgot about it.

About a week later, I go to a friend’s house for a potluck/white elephant party. We all had to pick numbers out of a hat to see who would pick a gift first. I happened to get number 1 so I had to go first. I actually complained about this because it meant I wouldn’t be able to “steal” any items. I go over to the table and this one gift is popping out at me as if saying, “Please! Pick me!”. So I did. You wouldn’t believe what was inside. It’s was a singing Justin Beiber toothbrush with attached Colgate toothpaste! I was floored. No one in the room could understand why I liked the gift so much and why I wanted to keep it! Funny thing is, the night before I had told my boyfriend I thought it was time I got a new toothbrush because mine was getting pretty worn!

All you have to do is ask and have faith! Even for the little things in life. I’m happy to report that I am doing much better financially now and I made a promise to myself that in this new year, I was going to live in faith and gratitude!
