First of all, this movie is the single most amazing movie that’s entered my life. Before Christmas I had wanted to see it, and I never took the time to go buy it. But what I had found out that the movie expressed – on how to live your life to create a more prosperous abundant life – I always believed in without needing the show.
Christmas morning, my Mom gave me a gift that she thought was a great idea. And wouldn’t you know, it’s the Gratitude Book. It was a great gift. I use it as often as possible, and when I know I’ll really enjoy it. My thought has always been, if you can think it, it can happen. And this movie reaffirmed my feelings.
In Spring 07, I bought a wedding magazine to flip through and get some ideas from, and I found this dress that I really wanted. Not a bridal gown, but a simple green dress that would work so well with a wedding I had to attend in the coming summer. I looked online and in stores for it and I could not find it. I put it out to the universe that this was something that I wanted really badly, and I was passionate about it.
The summer came and went and I had ended up forgetting about this dress since it was just a small item…
For a few years now, I have always thought I’d be great at Event Planning, since I had done some parties such as my high school prom and some small charity events; I wanted to move into Weddings. At a wedding I went to a week ago, I found out a friend of mine had gotten engaged and was nervous about the planning of a wedding that would most likely entail 600 people. I asked her if she was going to hire a wedding planner and she said, most likely. That was my cue to offer her my services to gain experience in wedding planning at any capacity she wanted me involved. By the end of the night I had started the ball rolling in my journey towards becoming a consultant, because she wanted me to help her with her wedding. Which brings me back to that little dress…
For this wedding I needed something to wear and I hit a sale at an outlet store and bought a couple of outfits.. including this little green dress. And wouldn’t you know, when I sifted back to that magazine that held the picture of the dress I wanted, although it wasn’t exactly the same brand of dress, the design was so similar it was uncanny.
The Secret really works, in small and large ways! I am so excited to see what it brings for me in my ambition to become a full time wedding consultant from home! There are many other things that I have put out to the universe that I wanted to happen, such as my home, new car, and everything in my home! It’s amazing! Thank you for helping me reaffirm everything that I’ve always believed in!
