A little preface to my story, I had my first daughter at the age of 16 years old but knew I wanted to graduate from an actual high school and not an alternative program. I did not know how I would make it, but I knew that is what I was going to do, and I was going to get that diploma no matter what!!! And I did! Even at that time, I was using The Secret, and did not even know it.

Once I was in my twenties, I received this book from my boss because, at that point, I was going through a very difficult time. I was six months pregnant, found out that my nine year relationship was going to be over due to infidelity, and to top it off, I was going to be laid off. This book helped me through that time. I kept telling myself and wrote in a journal what I wanted in a man. I met a man with all of those traits at a friend’s birthday party when my daughter was only six weeks old. I envisioned a man, and let me tell you, he pretty much looks exactly like I envisioned. This man became my husband last year in August 2013. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Please understand that he is the extreme of every request that I made. Sometimes, I laugh about how I wanted all these traits, and he definitely has all of them for sure. And then some! By staying positive I have gotten everything on my wish list to come true. My daughter is now two and a half years old. I am out of that bad relationship for which I feel so grateful, and I am married to a man who loves me and my two children. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is just the beginning of my story. I knew in my heart that I wanted to work as a paralegal or in the field of law. Little did I know how I was going to do it since I had to work full-time, take care of my two daughters, had little to no experience, and had not even taken any paralegal courses. Guess what? I am now a paralegal because I was given the opportunity by a very well-established firm. When I tell people what I do, they ask, “So, where did you go to school?” When I tell them that I did not go to school, they ask, “So, how did you get that job?” I have to tell them because of my positive attitude. The HR woman said that I was given the position because of my positive attitude. She said they had lots of qualified applicants but took a chance on me, I am so thankful they did!! Everyone was surprised. I never really thought about it, but I know that it was because of The Secret.

Now that I live with a positive outlook, sometimes I do not even realize all the great things I attract into my life, all thanks to The Secret! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you so very much!
