Never before had I experienced such abundance, joy, and gratitude in such purity.

It was a gray Saturday evening. I had a cold and I was wrapped up in a blanket, passively watching TV while feeling lonely. I was in tears about my depression. I had Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome called ME/CFS. I was in physical pain and I was wondering and wishing for the day I would see some light, some relief from it all.

Eventually, I got up, walked to the kitchen, and stood there waiting for some kind of food inspiration to hit me. Everything seemed dull, without purpose, and uninspiring.

Then I felt it! The shift, the big magic. My spirit lifted and I stopped crying.

The sun with its last evening rays had broken through the thick clouds shimmering into the kitchen. It was highlighting everything from tiny dust particles floating in the room, the dirty dishes that needed to be done, and all the abundance in my life. I smiled and took a deep breath. To my surprise, I giggled. Then my giggle turned into laughter.

All of a sudden I could see everything! My abundance, my wealth, my good health, love, my partner, my family and friends, and all my blessings. I shone a light on all my fears, worries, and doubts with laughter, pure bliss, and gratitude.

The kitchen that had just seemed so dull and uninspiring, was filled with life and its gorgeous purpose. All of a sudden, I knew what to have for dinner. The stacked dishes looked like a few busy days leading up to the weekend. After the sunset, I switched on the light, which brightened up the entire room.

I affirmed: “I am the richest person on this earth. I am strong.
I am happy. I am healthy. I am blessed. I am love. I am loved.
I live in abundance every day. The Universe works to my highest good.” All affirmations that came to me, I spoke out loud, feeling each one deeply. I saw, felt, and breathed in my abundance. I bathed in this moment, as though I was lying in the sun. I finally saw the light.

Was it a coincidence? No, it wasn’t. It was big magic. It was the Universe showing me what I had asked to see, what I needed to see. It was the bigger picture.

I am on a life journey. One which brings experiences that help me grow exponentially. They can be easy or hard, big or small, exciting or scary, expected or unexpected. My experiences are preparing me for what the Universe has in store for me and I am ready.

This moment in my beautiful kitchen showed me that I carry with me everything I could possibly ever need, everywhere I go. As long as I stay open I am ready to receive abundance.
Practicing daily gratitude brings forth more and more wealth.
I am the richest person on this earth. I am blessed, happy, healthy, and I am rich beyond measure.
