This Christmas had been tough for me it started earlier this year in July when I needed to take a loan on one of my closings. I’m a realtor and am paid commission so I don’t get paid until a closing happens, usually after 30 days. All December I had been stressed thinking about how was I going to provide Christmas for my kids? I had moped around and felt sorry for myself until one day I thought, you know what? This isn’t helping. I wrote down exactly how much I needed to pay bills and provide for Christmas and got to work.

I changed my thoughts and told myself that I WILL get things in order, and I WILL have enough to take care of everything! I had a new build that had gone under contract but would not close until December. I tried to take a loan but they told me it was too far out. I forgot about it but had in my head I did, in fact, take a loan on it. I thought I had taken the loan out and went all December thinking I was not going to receive a check for that closing.

My work emailed out my CDA (commission disbursement authorization) the other day and I noticed there wasn’t anything going to pay the place I got the loan from. I thought about it and thought I better call them to make sure. They told me, no ma’am, it had been canceled because it was too far out. So I will in fact be receiving my check on December 16!

I had changed my focus and my negative thoughts and immediately got exactly what I needed. When I realized what had just happened, I took a moment to pray and to thank the Universe. I wrote down my gratefulness and reminded myself that the next time I start to stress, remember to change my thoughts and write down what it is that I desire and need. After everything I went and filled out my check to the Universe.

I have read these teachings over the years and truly believe in them. Sometimes we lose ourselves to stress and worry. The lesson I learned from this experience is that I know how this works and have to remember to trust in the Universe and my own power to manifest.
