While trying to find out some good audiobooks to listen to, especially those to do with self development, I came across “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. At first I had no idea what to expect, and to me, using the words “The Secret” seemed like just another marketing tactic, but I soon realised how important and powerful this could be after listening to the first few minutes of the audiobook.

Anyways, after listening to it thrice in a row, I watched the DVD and decided to put it to the text. My web design business is fairly small, and I’m lucky enough if I sell a design for £50 unique price. But after watching The Secret I got a sudden burst of confidence, and I worked on a design and put a price tag of £100 (more than double what I would have earned for one design). I also used this confidence to convince myself that it was worth spending money to advertise my listing on a Premium Marketplace Website (sitepoint.com). Every day I would convince myself that it was going to sell, and at the price I wanted it to, and it did!

Now, with my business, I sell each and every design at a rate of around £150-300 each, and now can afford and will afford almost every electronic product I have wished for.
