Realizing I Could Change My Life.
Submitted by: Sue K.
Victoria AustraliaI am in my early 60s, and happily married for 41 one years to a wonderful loving man. Unfortunately, we were unable to have children and in my mid 30's I suffered from depression. I reread a lot of self-help books back then that helped me to get back on track. Unfortunately, the alcohol drinking started back then just drinking on Friday and Saturday nights but as the years went on we both started drinking most nights. I suppose it is easy to do when there are no children or grandchildren around.
I realized that I could change my life around for the better by following the 3 rules of The Secret.
I am in my early 60s and was told to stop drinking alcohol last year after the results of a blood test showed my liver function levels were very high. I used alcohol to help me sleep and supposedly to help me relax.
I read The Secret just recently and then watched The Secret movie on Youtube. I had heard about the book when I was in my 40s but did not get around to reading it.
About a week ago, I said to the Universe, please help me to stop drinking alcohol, I need your help. Within minutes a thought came into my head. About 17 years ago I read a book by Allen Carr called, “Easy Way To Stop Smoking”. I stopped smoking halfway through the book and have not smoked or had the desire to smoke ever since.
I went online and found Allen Carr had also written a book to help women stop drinking alcohol. I bought the book and just finished reading it two days ago. It was an amazing realization that we have been brainwashed into thinking that alcohol is okay when it is not. It is a poison and does nothing for us except harm us. I know in my heart that I will never touch alcohol again.
I am so very grateful that I have read The Secret and I know it has changed my life for the better. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you to Rhonda Byrne. Bless you and thank you so very much.
