Quick Turnaround.

Parkland, FLI’m an accountant and a video editor. I love watching TV, my job, cooking, and spending time with my fiancé and my friends.
This is just one example of how The Secret worked for me before I even knew what it was. When I was a teenager I was really depressed and the only thing that was getting me through it was my favorite television show. This show had a huge following and they even did conventions once in a blue moon where the celebrities would attend. I always wanted to meet them and to meet the other people who loved the show as much as I did but I never thought I would be able to. This would always make me sad, thinking that it would never happen.
Then one day years later, I don’t know why, I just decided to change my mindset. I went from “I’m never going to meet them” to “I’ll meet them someday.” I didn’t know how it would happen, I just believed that it would. I was a senior in high school at this time. Literally within three months, I found out there was going to be a convention for the show in Los Angeles. Now I was 17, so I couldn’t fly across the country by myself. I told my grandma about it and she said to me, “You know, I’ve never been to California. I’d love to go.” I couldn’t believe my ears.
Now the only thing left was getting the money for the plane ticket. I looked it up and it was around $300. Well within two weeks I got my yearly birthday check from my other grandmother. Every year she would send me $75 on my birthday. I’m not sure why, maybe because she knew I was graduating high school that year, but I opened the envelope and saw that the check was for $300. I couldn’t believe what was happening.
We ended up going and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on in my life. It wasn’t until I went to college and watched The Secret that I fully understood what had happened, and since that day I’ve made sure to always keep The Secret with me. I’ve continued to live a wonderful life because of it.
