Pretend It’s Yours

Pinole, CAI started reading Stuart Wilde's books. From then on, every book dealing w/ success principles or law of attraction came across my attention, which led me to thesecret.tv
I wasn’t excited in my job. I was tired of the commute. I felt drained. I felt like I wasn’t challenged enough. I wanted more and I wanted better. I wanted to get a new job.
After watching The Secret, I had an idea. I decided to try something out.
I created a resume and posted it on the website. I browsed through a the job board.
I finally picked a company I’d be thrilled to work for. I drove by and walked around the facilities and pretended I’d start working there soon. I even drafted an offer letter to myself from the company. I made business cards and printed them out. I kept one in my wallet. I handed one to my co-worker, telling her I had a new job.
I would look at my offer letter and businsess cards every day. I continued to believe that I will get what I want. I maintained that feeling of excitement every time I looked at the offer letter.
A month passed, I got a phone call for an interview for the “position” I wished for and for the “salary” I affirmed. It wasn’t with the company I wanted to work at, but hey, who am I to complain!
Two weeks after I went in for an interview, I got the offer for a “National Account Executive” position, a closer commute and for the salary I desired.
I looked at the business cards I made. The logo was red. I looked at my hiring company’s logo, also red in color.
Coincidence? It really does work!!!
