My Magical World.

EnglandA daughter, sister, friend, wife and mother. Married to my Prince. 3 amazing and gorgeous children. I love my life.
I was born in Kampala, Uganda, and have been of British Nationality since birth. I was a refugee arriving in the UK in 1972. I have my Dad, Mum, five sisters, one brother, and myself. My oldest sister married a wealthy family who were very kind.
All Asians had to leave and Dad with only one daughter married, had all of us and Mum to look after. My hard working, caring dad had to get us all safely out of Uganda. It was very scary for my siblings and me because people were killed before our eyes! So we had to leave our home and belongings and pack ourselves a big brown box with some of our possessions and wait till Dad found ways to make money to purchase our ticket and leave quickly. Time was getting closer and closer to the date order for our departure and we still had no money to leave!!!
My Dad was a kind and likable man who looked after his family so well, especially my Mum who was sick and had complex health issues. Anyways, a miracle happened and we received help from my oldest sister’s father-in-law who had so my respect for my dad. Mr. V Lad gave my dad enough money to get us out of Kampala quickly and safely.
Mum and Dad did a good job of looking after us all and keeping us safe from the men with the green clothes and big guns. I called them the green gorillas!!!
We had a long journey ahead of us when we got on the flight to the UK. My brother, me, and my youngest sister were very young, scared, and also excited at the same time. We had never been on a plane! Everything was new, different, and very exciting.
We landed in a camp for refugees and were well looked after. We were given food, water, and clothing, and we were in a safe place with caring people. I was always a dreamer from a very young age. I was also trouble for Mum, Dad, and all my siblings who all took care of me. I reacted when having my injection and had a big bump on my arm. I had many accidents, got very sick and I was also the black sheep of the family.
I always felt lucky and happy though. I smiled and was a happy bunny. As a child growing up I read the story about a frog Prince and I dreamt that I too will have a frog Prince one day. I used to imagine that I was living my life and my husband was my Prince Charming. I dreamed and never gave up and today I still dream.
I read The Secret, The Power, and The Magic and came across The Daily Blessings in India whilst going to my brother’s wedding. I read The Daily Blessings every day and shared it with all my siblings. It starts our day with good thoughts and encourages us to be grateful for every day and for everything. Life is beautiful and gets better each day.
I am grateful for my wonderful life because my awesome family look after me so well. I feel like a Princess. My hubby and children are my world. God has gifted me with a wonder talent, cooking and making my family beautiful food to say thank you for all that they do. I have no income, no job, complex health issues, and lots of love and gratitude in my heart. Giving is what I am good at, receiving is very difficult.
My siblings and my friends have also helped me so much. I am where I am because I am a big dreamer. I love helping others, God had always guided me and given me everything as I have dreamed it. What more do I need except to carry on reading and practicing gratitude. I know being absolutely grateful is everything!!!
I dream all the time and one of my dreams is to one day meet the author, Rhonda Byrne, and her helpers. I also would love to meet the Obamas!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you so very much!
