My Height.
Submitted by: Aditya
IndiaI am blessed and grateful to be able to tell you my story, hopefully it inspires you all.
So here it goes.
I’m a person who has huge dreams. So to accomplish my dream I wanted to be tall. Up until the end of tenth grade, I wasn’t tall, maybe around 5’6. I hoped that I was a late bloomer as I had not really gotten my moustache yet. But my parents aren’t that tall and I had already exceeded my dad’s height.
I really wanted to be at least 6’1 or something like that before my 11th grade. This was the year the pandemic took place and I was given a whole year to work on it. So I worked extremely hard. I would get up at 5 am or sometimes even at 4 or 4:30 to do vertical jumps and extreme stretching exercises. After some time I even went cycling for 30 or 40 km every day. I skipped meals and I rarely even watched TV.
I grew to 5’8 and a half after a year of doing all that. I was really devastated.
Then one day I had taken rest and went out for lunch with my family and my sister bought this book called The Secret. To to make fun of her, I simply took the book and read the first page. I was surprised and really grateful that such a book had just turned up for me!
So I read it all and was excited to use it. I did all the things it suggested but it didn’t happen at first. I was too attached to the outcome. Then after I let it go finally, which was damn hard, it happened!
I had visualized being the height of a shopkeeper near my house who is 6’1 or 6’2 or something like that. I had also visualized my first day of 12th standard.
Then it finally happened after I let it go! In a few weeks time, I grew to be that exact height! I had to go to the tailor to stitch my new uniform as I had outgrown them! My first day of 12th, was exactly as I had imagined it. I’m so grateful and truly blessed that I received this huge blessing.
Thank you to my sister, to Rhonda Byrne and thank you to the whole team behind The Secret, including Bob Proctor. Also thank you to the shopkeeper Uncle for this! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you so much, I am truly blessed and I love you all!
