As a young high school student growing up in the projects of Hudson County, New Jersey, things weren’t always all sunshine and rainbows. As soon as I learned about The Secret, my entire life changed. My best friend had introduced me to this method and I immediately dedicated myself to the creative process.

My first wish was to have a mode of transportation to go to work with. I was working as a lifeguard at a local condominium. I walked many blocks to reach my destination. I had made a wish to attract a bike into my life.

One day not long after, as I was walking to work I literally walked right next to a bike that had been thrown in the trash and it was in perfectly good condition. I looked at it and wished again that I could have one to make going to work more fun. So I walked by the bike and went about my business thinking how grateful I was to have 2 strong legs to take me to work.

Twelve hours later I was walking back home and the owner of the apartment complex was outside, and he and I knew each other. I said hello like always. Then he stopped me and said “Hey kid, my son just moved away and threw his bike out. Do you want it?” I almost started to cry because I could not believe that my wish had just come true! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

From that point, I humbly accepted the bike and I made it my own by replacing things and painting it and pouring a lot of love into it. Life from that point on has truly been magical, even through my ups and downs. The Universe is always conspiring to give us what we want most. Thanks for reading and stay blessed!
