Thank you not only to Rhonda and her team but also to all those who have shared their Secret Stories on here as they have been a constant source of inspiration to me and helped strengthen my faith in the universe at times when I had begun to doubt.

Let me let you in on a little secret! No, not The Secret, since you’re reading this you already know about that. My secret is that I wrote this thank you letter before my desires had physically manifested but The Secret taught me to have unwavering faith and act as if I had already received. Now that what I wanted has come true, I’m posting this.

The following was written almost a month ago:

For as long as I can remember three desires have been strong in my heart and mind and I’ve wanted them more than anything else: To be in a loving relationship with my soulmate, to support myself financially through a career as a writer/illustrator and to own a husky. Since I was little they’ve been my favourite breed of dog , whenever I saw one in the street I’d have stop and say hello. For a long time my lifestyle was not set up to care for one but I kept visualising one day having one and taking it on long hikes and camping trips. I always knew that one day I’d own my ‘wolfie’ dog.

A year ago my soulmate and I attracted each other through the most joyful and unexpected circumstances. We moved in after 3 months together and our relationship gets stronger and more loving every day. He already had a year old female husky who I fell in love and bonded with immediately, however, I still wanted a dog of my own and we discussed bringing a male dog into our home.

On Thursday 4th of Feb, my partner was contacted by a friend running a rescue center saying an 11 month old male husky puppy had been brought in and was looking for a new home. Knowing us to be very responsible owners familiar with the breed and leading very active lifestyles perfectly suited to huskies, she asked if we would consider adopting him. We knew there would probably be an adoption fee and the week before I had lost my job due to ill health. I was waiting to hear back for some illustration work, the career I wanted to move into. I was also waiting to receive unemployment allowance and I didn’t know how I was going to pay my share of the bills, let alone afford to buy and keep a dog!
Nevertheless my boyfriend encouraged me to stay positive and said there was no harm in going to look.

We went to meet him the following Monday afternoon taking our female husky with us. I had to catch my breath when I saw him: clear piercing blue eyes and silver grey fur exactly how I’d pictured my ideal dog. It always makes me smile just how precise the law of attraction is and the little jokes the universe likes to play. Remember me saying how in my head I always called my ideal dog my ‘Wolfie dog’?

Well guess what the husky was called?

Wolfie! Well Wolfie took an instant liking to me and my partner but even more amazing was the way he and our dog interacted. It was like they’d known each other forever. The man at the rescue center was amazed. Our female dog is very sociable but we’d never seen her take to another dog like that, it was like she knew he was meant for our family. We knew he was the perfect fit for us and we could give him the home he deserved. However when we went to the office to fill out the paperwork we discovered the adoption fee to be £200, over twice as much as we’d been expecting. On top of this the dog rescue insisted we put up a 6 foot fence in our backyard to stop him from escaping. The wood alone would cost around £100 minimum.

We tried to stay positive but on the drive back I couldn’t help feeling disheartened and by the time I walked our dog in the early evening and checked my bank balance my mood was very low. The law of attraction responded to this and the on screen balance showed I had nearly maxed out my overdraft and had only £20 remaining. This was not even enough to buy groceries let alone pay rent. Without knowing where my next paycheck would come from the prospects seemed bleak, and being able to get our beloved Wolfie seemed like a pipe dream. To add to this, my partner received a bill for £200 for a campervan he’d bought a few months earlier and had to finish paying it off.

I already knew about The Secret and had read both The Power and worked through The Magic in the past, manifesting all kind of things such as my soul mate, a place in a top Masters programme in illustration and fees to pay for it, so I knew the law of attraction worked. But this was my first time reading The Secret book. I read it that Monday night and the following morning and even did a process from The Magic called ‘The Magical Way Out Of Negativity’ where you take a challenging situation in your life and look for all the things to be grateful for. I began imagine in my mind owning Wolfie. I wrote emails and sent them to myself pretending they were from the rescue place. First confirming Wolfie’s adoption, then asking how he was getting on. I bid on a dog lead on ebay especially for huskies and shopped online for dog bowls and a collar, saving them in my cart and ready to buy when the money came through.

That was what I wrote a month ago and here’s what happened next. First let me say the universe far exceeded any of our expectations. I had received almost £100 unexpected money into my bank account. Then my mum messaged me and said that she and my dad would give me £100 towards his adoption fees as an early birthday present. My partner got given some free wood at his work which was the exact amount and size we needed to make the fencing, the wood retails at £120!

A few days after this my partners parents and my Godmother offered to give me birthday money to pay for the adoption fees and I found I had an extra £100 in savings I’d forgotten about. Jobseeker’s allowance backdated my claim and I received nearly 3x what I’d been first told I’d receive. I even attracted a free dog lead, food and petrol money to go pick Wolfie up worth £80 in total.

Well you can guess the rest. I’m now writing this with my beautiful new dog curled up at my feet. The Secret is incredible and this has proved to me and my partner beyond a shadow of a doubt that we can manifest our desires and now we are moving on to create our career and finances the way we want also.
