Miraculous Moment

I have had some wonderful moments in my life. But only a couple that really truly stand out in which I believe are more than just coincidence. This one I must share with others, and of course the creator and executive producer of ‘The Secret’, Rhonda Byrne.
Well it all began as a hard working day at one of my clients homes I was redecorating. I had a phone call the night before and arranged to meet another client to do an estimate on her home. So I proceeded to leave my customer’s home and called my other client on my cell to notify her I would arrive shortly.
So I drove up to the driveway, looked at the address, and said to myself, “Okay, this is it, number eighty eight!” I looked at the gentleman outside as he was washing his car, and I said jokingly, “You can wash mine while you’re at it!!” Of course we laughed and then I asked him if ‘Olga’, the lady that called me for an estimate, was in the house. I was dressed in my painter duds with paint all over me, and he exclaimed, “No, you must have the wrong address.” I said, “Well, I was told to come here – this is number eighty eight?” “Yes,” was his reply. I then looked at my notes I was carrying, “Oh!” I said. “I’m on the wrong street! This is 88 Pearl St, not 88 Broadview Ave.” But then something even stranger than fiction was about to occur. He then proceeded to ask me if I was the painter/ decorator from the company J.N.J. Painting and Design. I said, “Yes.” “Well,” he said, “You are not going to believe this, but I was looking at your work from a former customer of yours this morning, and I was going to give you a call and have you come out and do an estimate for me.” We both began to laugh again, and I then said to him, “I suppose you wouldn’t mind if I do an estimate now while I’m here?!” “No,” he said, “come on in.” And as I was walking out of the house, I mentioned to him I would like to make a million dollars so I could retire someday soon, half smiling at him. He replied, “You must read The Secret.”
When I got home I told my husband this story, and I mentioned to him I must get this book – this is more than coincidence. The next day I came home from work and there on the table where I always sit was the book. My husband had purchased it for me. And the rest is history!!!
I must thank the ‘Universe’ and Rhonda Byrne for producing this book as a valuable resource, and making my life more complete.
Sincerely,
Julie Coombs
