Meeting My Favorite Spice Girl.
Submitted by: Manny
Bakersfield, CAI'm a down to earth guy, who dreams of becoming a pop singer.
I met someone who introduced me to The Secret. He lent me his movie of The Secret so I watched it, then I bought the CD. I started to learn about it, here is how I used it.
In 2007 I attended the Spice Girls reunion concert and I invited my friend who introduced me to The Secret. So anyways, in the Scary Spice solo performance, she gets someone from the audience and takes them on stage. I told my friend that the guy she picked was so lucky and I wished that it was me! So I started thinking about how much I wished it was me that got on stage with Scary Spice because she is my favorite Spice Girl. For days I thought about that situation.
One day I was reading about how Scary Spice was appearing on a musical show in Las Vegas called Peep Show. So I made it a goal to go. I got table one, with seats 1 and 2 and I invited a friend to go with me. So we arrived to our seats and it turns out that I was really close to the stage. So I told my friend that I hope I can go on stage. Then I started thinking about how cool it would be if I got to go on stage and meet Scary Spice, face to face.
So the show starts and in the middle of the show, Scary says “Who isn’t drunk, who is not drinking and still having a good time?” So I get up from my seat saying “Me, me!”. One of the dancers from the show approaches me and tells me to go with her. I was in shock and I turned to my friend, not knowing what to do. He keeps saying “Go, go…!”. So I follow the dancer and go on stage. When Scary approached me, I was in shock and couldn’t react, and when I finally did, I started crying. I explained that I was a huge fan. She gave me a kiss and a hug and she went on with the show. When she said I could go to my seat, I got another hug and kiss.
The next day I called my friend, the one who had told me about The Secret. I told him what happened and he said “You know why it happened, right? Because that was something you really wanted and focused on it.”. He was right, and yes, The Secret really works.
