I was going through a lot in life when The Secret found me. I walked into a book store looking for something to help me believe it would all be ok. And there it was, the odd-looking book. I read the back of the cover and bought The Secret. A couple of days later I went back to the same bookstore and bought The Secret Gratitude Book.

A couple of weeks before The Secret found me I was in a decorating store and had seen this word BELIEVE… you know the words they make out of metal or wood. I bought this word and to this day it sits on my TV stand, in front of the TV. BELIEVE means by live, you live by what you believe.

My relationship was going through a huge strain because of things my boyfriend was involved in. He didn’t have a job, and ended up in jail. I bought The Secret after this happened. As I started reading it, it just made sense. As my boyfriend sat in jail I would write in my gratitude book, “Thank you for my boyfriends’ job, and Thank You for him staying clean.” I wrote this every night for a few months. My boyfriend now has a full time job, and on 29 October 2008 will be clean for one year.

I also have been in a line of work for almost three years, and for the past year have wanted to start my own business in this line of work. I would write in my gratitude book, “Thank you for my success in my business.” “Thank you for the finances.” And was grateful for the job I have now. When this part happened it helped two people. A friend of mine won $500,000.00 on a $10.00 scratch-off ticket. He loaned me some money to get started in my business. I have to have a license from the state to be able to do this type of business. Thanks to The Secret and it opening my eyes I have been able to talk to my boss about what I want to do, and not only is my job still mine until I decide to go out on my own, in which I will then be considered competition to my boss, but my boss is supporting me, and I passed the $150.00 test to get my license. I look forward to starting my own business in the spring.

I had gone through a lot of tests a little over a year ago with my heart, after having a heart cath at the age of 36 I found out I have heart palpitations. I have not felt or had any symptoms of this for months now, which I am so grateful for because at the age of 16 I lost my father due to a heart attack. He was 39. And my mother has a genetic heart disease.

Also, I had always wanted a truck, and needed a truck for my business. It is sitting out in my driveway right now. You can have what you want, if you really want it.

The Secret has touched my life in so many ways. My relationships are better with my two sons, my relationship is better with my boyfriend.

All of this has happened in less than a year. I bought The Secret in December 2007, and today is the 26th October 2008.

Just simply Believe it, feel it, want it, and be grateful for it, and you can and will have it.
