About 3 years ago my co-worker told me about The Secret. I was able to rent it and was intrigued by it. I realized that I had been using the law of attraction and visualization all my life and that is why I had been getting everything I wanted, good and bad.

Well the first time I consciously used the law of attraction was two days after watching the DVD. I was planning to go to New Jersey for my girlfriend’s wedding weekend. I was not too excited because I had already spent a lot of money on my bridesmaid dress and shoes, throwing her bridal shower, and going to Las Vegas for her bachelorette party. Now I had to spend more money for the hotel for the weekend. I had decided I was going to drive back to Maryland right after the reception; that way I didn’t have to stay at the hotel any extra nights. Also, I only knew a couple of her family members and I didn’t have a date, so I just knew I was going to be a loner all weekend.

While I was packing I played The Secret DVD on repeat. I started to internalize it and repeated to myself, “I am going to have an awesome weekend.” The 3 hours drive to New Jersey I kept saying and believing the same thing.

Needless to say, I had the best weekend. As soon as I arrived everyone just flocked to me. I met a lot of cool people. One of the groomsmen and I just “clicked” and we ended up being one another’s date for the weekend. Also, when people heard I was leaving after the reception, I received so many offers to stay one more night and that I could crash in their room. So I did. We are still friends.

That weekend made a believer out of me!
