Newly married, my husband I began trying for a baby. I already had a 4 year old from a previous relationship so I didn’t expect to have any problems. A year into this process nothing was happening. Then I fell pregnant until that pregnancy ended in miscarriage. Multiple miscarriages later and absolutely devastated, we took a break. During that break, we discussed options and what we really wanted. We read books to get back to basics which included The Secret, and we decided to set the bar higher. That bar was what we really wanted which was twins!

Highly driven and motivated by goals, we decided to treat getting pregnant like anything else we sought after in life, by goal setting. That included developing vision boards, creating affirmations and keeping our vibrations high and positive, using crystals or any other method that we thought could possibly help. We made our plan and visited Crystal Castle. We visited a special care nursery in our local hospital and donated items for babies. Any fountain we passed had a coin thrown in and a wish was made. We even went on a twin diet, to increase our chances of getting pregnant with twins.

As a backup plan, we started to investigate why I was having such difficulty and we were absolutely prepared to go through the IVF process if needed. So I had an ultrasound to investigate the issues I was having with my reproductive system. I attended that appointment hoping to get a quick and easy fix. My appointment didn’t go that way, it actually went like this:

I was looking at the screen and saw two sacs. I looked up at the technician and asked if it was what I thought it was. She was confused as it was a booked infertility scan and she went to get her supervisor who confirmed a twin pregnancy at 4 weeks in gestation!!

We did it! Like, we actually did the impossible!

Many challenges later and our twin boys were born on Father’s Day, 2017. Now two the boys are a bundle of energy and are known as my little ‘twinadoes’. I share a lot of our journey on Instagram, jackileejones.
