I had been in a relationship with a guy that I thought was the man of my dreams for four years. At first he seemed to be everything I had been looking for in a husband and parent and I thought I was the luckiest girl in the world. He was good looking, charming and different, we were that couple that everybody adored.

We were 22 when we met, I had a full time job, was renting an apartment and was totally independent. He on the other hand, was unemployed and living with his folks. From the way he expressed dissatisfaction for his current situation and living situation, I believed he would change it around in no time. But four years later I found myself stuck with a guy who promises dreams and tells me everything I want to hear. We were just so different.

Anyway, while we were going through a rough patch and I came across The Secret and I made a list being specific about the kind of guy I’d like to date. A week after reading this book I met a guy and we became friends instantly. A few months down the lane I ended the relationship with my boyfriend of four years and later started dating the friend I met.

He has brought so much positive energy, positive vibes and positive changes to my life. I didn’t realize how much my previous relationship had weighed me down and how much it had hindered my growth until I met someone who was just as ambitious, inspired and loves life just like I do.

I am so grateful for this relationship, it feels amazing to be with somebody who inspires and challenges you to be a better person, somebody that you have so much in common with.

He proposed to me 2 days ago and sometimes I feel like this is a dream and I’m going to wake up from it anytime. I am so happy and grateful for the life that I am living and for all the people in it.

Guys, anything no matter how big or small or silly it may seem, ANYTHING is possible when you have the right mindset. No matter what kind of situation you’re stuck in, no matter how rough your past is, if you believe, you can be and have anything you desire.
