My story is one of pain and confusion. I had had a severe headache for over 5 weeks when my girlfriend made me go to my doctor. When I went to see him, he put me on a drug for the head pain and told me to come back in 1 week, as that was as long as I could take the drug. When I returned in a week, I was still in severe pain and so he gave me a different drug and ordered an MRI. About a week later, he called me in to review the results and told me I had a brain tumor the size of a grape. WOW!!! Talk about a shock. He had 3 different doctors review the original findings and all agreed. He then ordered another MRI just to “make sure”. This one came back with no issues, but no-one could explain my chronic headpain. I went to a neurologist and over the course of 2 months I was put on 9 different drugs. I was desperate. I, in all, had seen 8 different specialists of one sort or another. Well, the neurologist eventually fired me as a patient and I was left to try and find a different one. I had been taking a very bad drug called Topamax and it was helping moderately. I got in to see a different neurologist on Sept 5 and he wanted to put me on Depakote. I had not had a moment without this severe head pain for over 6 months.

One day prior to seeing this doctor, my best friend told me about “The Secret” and I watched it. I made a decision then and there..”I AM healthy”. I repeated it ad nauseam. I told myself and the Universe that over and over. I took myself off the medicine. I had tried to ween myself off it earlier, and the head pain was horrible. But I quit taking the meds cold turkey, and I have not felt better in over 6 months. I have no head pain and I am becoming me again. I am grateful for this every moment of every day.
