My mother is a huge tennis fan and goes to the Australian Open every year. She doesn’t have a lot of money, so she saves enough to attend at least three matches and sits in the general area.

Last Monday I was invited to attend the tennis in a fully catered Corporate Superbox, and I told Mum that I would be at the venue the same day as her.

So, on my way to the tournament I decided to use “The Secret”. Two things I wanted: (1) to find Mum and (2) to get her into the Superbox with me. She had told me that she was in Section 7 – so I asked, believed etc., and visualised Mum sitting at the tennis, enjoying it. I raised my binoculars to have a look and five minutes later I’d found her – she was sitting DIRECTLY opposite me on the other side of the sports arena!! With a seating capacity of 15,000 people, my mother was DIRECTLY OPPOSITE ME! I was amazed! Anyway, next thing I did was ask the host of the box whether it would be possible for me to bring my mother in (knowing that such a treat would make her year!). Unfortunately, the host said that “policy” wouldn’t allow her to do it. Slightly disappointed but not deterred I sat back down and went through the processes again and imagined Mum beside me and believed that it would happen.

Well you can imagine my delight when approximately 1 ½ hours later, the host lent in and said, “Look, we’ve had several people that have had to leave, here’s an extra ticket, go get your Mum.” I was overjoyed – The Secret works !!!

So off I went to collect her. The look on Mum’s face was priceless when she saw me coming towards her, and when I told her she was coming with me, well, the utter joy on her face made MY year.
