First of all, I wanted to thank everyone on The Secret team who has been working to inspire so many across the globe. I also want to thank everyone who has shared their stories and inspired others along the way.

I wanted to share a story that occurred in 2014 back when I was still in high school. When The Secret was released back when I was only 9 years old, it was a little hard for me to comprehend the book that my mom had shown me, but 8 years later, this story proved to me the power of our minds and that The Secret truly was a law. To any younger folks reading this, I hope this can provide some inspiration and further support the fact that we can have and do what we desire despite what we are told growing up.

The day was like any other, the morning of a high school day. I parked, walked into the building, and waited for the bell to ring for my first class. That day I happened to be a bit late and had to go straight to my first class. After the tardy bell had rung, I looked and realized I did not have my phone on me. It was not in my backpack or in any of my pockets. My first reaction was panic and worry. Did it drop on the floor somewhere? Is it in the car? It just snowed so is it lost in the parking lot? Where is it? As we were not allowed to leave the building until the end of the day, there was not anything I could do. I decided to take a different approach and kept telling myself that I would find it as I could always look in the car after school or check in with the office in case anyone had turned it in. I knew I would get my phone back and worrying about where it was would not get me anywhere. I forgot about it and went on with my next 2 classes.

After lunch, I got up and started walking back to class when I was suddenly approached by one of the hall monitors. She asked me if I was Cara, to which I replied that I was. I then happened to see her holding a ziploc bag and in it was my phone! She informed me that someone had found it and turned it in and they were able to find out the owner. I thanked her and could not help but smile. The friend who I was with looked shocked. “How did she know it was yours??” I do not remember what I said exactly but I knew then it was the power of The Secret. After getting home that day, I found The Secret book we had in the house and looked at it again as I had not looked at it since I was 9 years old.

Now to give to some info on my high school, it had about 3,000 students and 4 different lunches. This phone had no indication it was mine on it as I never put any background photo of myself on it and had a tough lock screen password. So the chances that someone knew it was mine when finding it and being able to find me, the owner, in the correct lunch session with hundreds of other students, seemed extremely slim.

I used to think about the ‘how’, like where the phone was when I lost possession of it, who found the phone, how they figured out it was mine and found me, etc. But now I do not think about that anymore. I just appreciate and am so thankful for the whole story and know that it was all because of the Universe.

It is really simple. Just ask, believe, and receive. It may seem complex at first but once you see what you have asked for, you will realize there are no limits. I continue to learn about the law of attraction on a daily basis and know that life is meant to be amazing! Be patient with yourself and know that you are an infinite being!
