Port Moresby, Papua New GuineaThe eternal optimist, thanks to The Secret! Thank you, thank you and thank you!
I was introduced to The Secret by a housemate of mine back in late 2012 and I have many amazing stories to share for later. I recently started reading The Magic about three days ago and I just want to share an amazing experience with all of you.
I started reading The Magic on Monday 21st May 2014 and started with the exercises of gratitude. I work with work permits and visas for my company, so on Monday while I was on Day 1 of The Magic, I got someone’s passport to be delivered to immigration to have it processed for a visa extension. This was in the morning, and after rushing off to a meeting I locked away the passport in my cabinet. The passport was in a bright orange plastic folder.
On that day, I was feeling a bit down, then when I returned to my desk after my meeting to my horror the passport was nowhere to be found. I felt totally down but I thought to myself that it would be found but not really feeling and believing that it would be. When I felt down I remembered my list of all the things I am grateful for and kept on thinking about it and saying thank you, thank you and thank you even when I was not feeling really good about anything.
Day 2 came, and still I could not find the passport anywhere at all! I kept on going on with the exercise and found my gratitude rock. That was when I really felt in my heart that I would find it, however, doubtful thoughts crept into my mind and I did not sleep well that night as worry plagued my thoughts.
Day 3, today, came and at the start of the day I was feeling a bit down about not being able to find the missing passport. But, unexplainable as it seems, I just had this reassuring feeling that I would find the missing passport. I decided at that instance to stop having these doubtful thoughts, and I thought of my list and kept on saying thank you, thank you, thank you for working in a nice work environment and for just being alive. And even when I spoke to the person whose passport I had misplaced, he spoke to me in a very calm voice, and did not sound upset at all! He also stated to me over the phone that I sounded so calm! So I felt really thankful for his nice manner towards me, even if I had misplaced his passport.
From then on I just knew that I would find the passport by the end of the day!!!
And guess what?!!!
I found it, with the help of a workmate of mine who helped me re-trace my steps.
Turns out it was wedged at the bottom of my cabinet and the fact that it was in an orange folder made it all the more easier to find!
This is so unbelievable!!
Thank you, thank you and thank you!! Thank you God. Thank you to The Secret Team. Thank you to whoever you are reading my story.
Big love to all of you and never, ever stop believing and being positive even when the situation seems so impossible.
