I was raised by two Christian parents who believed everything the Bible stated, and lived according to God’s word. In essence, I was taught to walk by faith, to watch what words came out of my mouth because words have power. I also learned that not everything I needed had to come from me, nor did I have to work for it.

Back in December 2016, I was in my local library and walked past their used bookstore. After walking past it, something told me to go back and look inside of it. I followed the prompting and went back to look around. It was at that time I stumbled on the book, The Secret. Having heard about the book years ago, but having never read it, I purchased it for $1.00. After purchasing the book, I sat down in the library and decided to start reading it. I finished the book within two hours, and it was at that time my life changed instantaneously! I knew that I wanted this kind of power, and was determined to get it. Two weeks went by, and again I was in my local library and walked past the bookstore. I got that same urging to go in, and of course, followed it. I looked on the shelves, through the CDs, and finally the DVDs. Guess what I found?! “The Secret” on DVD! I purchased it for, you guessed it – $1.00! I then went to my laptop, watched the DVD, and knew that I was on the right track.

For the next two months, I read The Secret twice, I even read The Power, The Magic, and How The Secret Changed My Life. It was wonderful reading other people’s’ stories of their success and made me want to learn and implement The Secret even more. I also created my vision board, and printed out The Secret checks and wrote how much I wanted. I expressed gratitude consistently, kept a positive attitude, watched my thoughts (this was the hardest to do), and even kept a daily journal, but nothing was happening!

Frustrated, I watched The Secret DVD again, read the book again, but this time, I read each paragraph slowly. Certain things jumped out at me that I missed the previous two times I had read the book. Slowly but surely I finally got a full understanding of what I was not doing!

Let’s jump to March 2017. In January 2017, I was laid off from a job that I really liked. I needed to pay off some bills immediately and did not want to use all of my money until I found another position. I chose to use The Secret to bring the money to me and made my requests to the Universe. I wrote down $2500.00 on The Secret Check, and I started acting like I already had the money. Again, nothing happened right away. After two weeks of nothing happening, I sat down again and looked at the “Money” chapter of the book. It was at that time I realized that while I was acting like I had already had the money, my actions did not reflect that. I immediately pulled out my checkbook and wrote a check for each bill I wanted to pay. I put the bill and the check in its envelope and left all of the bills on my desk. On March 17, I again thanked God for the money and declared that each bill was paid and that I would get the money by March 18.

On March 18, I went to my post office box and saw an envelope from a company I was unfamiliar with. I opened the envelope and in it was a check for $2404.68. I could not believe it and stared at the check for 5 minutes! I looked at the ledger attached to the check, and the original amount of the check was $3999.00. The 2404.68 was the amount given to me after taxes! I had no idea I was receiving this check, and it turned out to be a payment from a class-action lawsuit, whose claim form I filled out almost two years ago. I was able to pay off the bills that I wanted, and actually had money left over to use for something else.

I cannot tell you how powerful I feel! I have now started to make requests to the Universe for other things I want, such as a new home, my dream job, other career aspirations, and finding a great guy to marry! Believe it or not, the seeds of doubt I struggled with are less, and less to the point of me not having any doubts at all, about anything! I realized that everything I was taught in regards to the Bible, and manifestations can happen almost immediately, not take a long time, as I originally thought. Reading The Secret just showed me another way to look at it, and The Secret’s way brought immediate results. I have told everyone who will listen to what has happened to me and encouraged them to go out and purchase The Secret. The only sadness I feel is that my parents are not here to share in this journey, and the great blessings that are occurring as a result of using The Secret. It really does work!! It really does work!! It really does work!!
