Dare To Dream!

San Fabian, Pangasinan, PhilippinesI am a journalist, businesswoman, and a champion speaker from the Philippines.
Way back in 2014, I was a struggling college student in Baguio City. I was struggling with my grades, struggling with friends, struggling with my goals, and, struggling with homesickness. I had been fighting for my dreams but still, I was struggling. One thing was clear to me though, I wanted to become a radio DJ, and then a TV Correspondent. I wanted to explore the Philippine media because I have always been curious as to how it works, and how it would feel being a part of it. I had no idea how to start or where to start. However, there is one thing I am good at and that is public speaking.
One day I talked to one of my classmates during our break time. She invited me to go to a Network Marketing Company. It was something that I was not really interested in, however, it opened my mind to the law of attraction. So since I did not have anything to do after school, I went to my classmate’s meeting. I listened to the information about their company’s products but it seemed that none of that information stayed in my mind. Meanwhile, they discussed how it was possible for you to make money, and one of the techniques that they suggested was to watch the movie entitled ‘The Secret‘ and to read The Secret books too.
I got curious so I watched the movie and borrowed my classmate’s copy of The Secret book. I got hungry for more information so I went to the website and tried to learn more. I applied it to my life. I wrote down all the things that I wanted to achieve in my life. Every morning, I set an alarm for 6 a.m. and I allotted 20 minutes for the declaration of the things that I wanted and to say my affirmations out loud.
Slowly, all of the things that I wanted started to manifest. I experienced the Universe nudging me in the right directions. It brought me to the Baguio Toastmasters Club which enhanced my speaking ability. When I became a 4th-year student, I decided to apply to a radio station and got accepted as a regular DJ while I was still studying. After a year of working there, I decided to apply for a job as a Television Correspondent. Out of 35 applicants that auditioned, I got a call back. They were now down to the final 3 applicants, and the day after my final interview, I got a call saying that I got in! I was accepted! I have never been so happy in my life! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I am also an entrepreneur now. I have an online ESL Teaching Center. I am now training other people on how to properly speak. I make a living out of my true passion which is public speaking! I hope to become a content creator on Youtube teaching about Public Speaking
All of this is thanks to the knowledge that The Secret has given me.
P.S. If you all are curious if I entered the Network Marketing Company where I learned about The Secret, the answer is no. I did not even try to go back after the first meeting. It did not make me feel good being there but I appreciated hearing about The Secret.
