After watching “The Secret”, I was thinking about the truth that the universe has no distinction about the size or scope of our wishes–big is just as easy as small to the universe. Humans seem to need to test the universe and ourselves by starting out small. This was all suggested in the film and that perhaps one would want to start by asking for a cup of coffee a day. There was a picture of coffee in a glass cup. This was one unappetizing looking cup of coffee! I love coffee and thought that I would hold the intention that the universe would supply me with a cup of coffee a day. The first daywhile looking for an apartment, a landlady asked me if I wanted a cup of coffee. Next day I was logging on to my computer thinking it would be convenient to set yahoo as my home page. When yahoo opened, there was an ad offering a free cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts for setting yahoo as my home page. The next afternoon, I took a coffee break at a neighborhood restaurant bar. I noticed that the restaurant used glass coffee mugs-looked very unappetizing but good coffee! I asked the bartender for the tab and he said “no charge.” It wasn’t until I was outside that I realized that was my third cup of coffee on the universe and it looked exactly like the cup in the movie! I’m a little bolder now in what I ask for and it’s not just the coffee talking!
