First of all, I’m really grateful to have found The Secret and its wonderful teachings. I have attracted so many things since the day I watched The Secret movie but this story is one of my greatest experiences with The Secret. I kept procrastinating about sharing it on this platform but the thought of sharing it won’t go away. So here it is.

It was about 9 years ago when I was studying in 10th grade. I’ve been a topper since childhood but at that time, somehow, I wasn’t doing well in my studies and was a little worried about my grades. Then one day, one of our relatives gave my father The Secret movie. I watched the movie and kept watching it over again whenever I had the time. I thought of giving it a try because when you’re scared of the worst even after trying your best, faith is the only way out.

So, I created a list of marks I wanted to get in every subject and hid it somewhere I wouldn’t find it. Then for around the next 2 months, before going to bed at night, every night I would visualize myself being awarded for getting really good grades. I used to close my eyes and step up on a chair as if I were stepping on the stage. There were lights all around me and then I would receive the award all by myself. I did not know whether this was the right way of doing it but I felt good so I continued it anyway. Later on, I appeared for my exams and spent the holidays developing new hobbies in crafts and totally enjoying my time.

When the results day arrived and since we did not have an internet connection at home, my elder sister from another city called me and I asked her to write down my marks in each subject.

With every passing word coming from her, my smile was widening because the aggregate was a perfect 10 CGPA. At this point, I didn’t quite remember what the exact marks were that I wrote on that paper, I was just so happy for the perfect 10! I thanked the visualization for all this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The next few days were like a celebration going on. Although there was no provision for an award, my picture was printed in the local newspaper along with other toppers. This was an additional gift from God. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Then one day, I found this paper in one of my diaries and it came to me as a very pleasant surprise because the marks I wrote in that paper for every single subject were exactly the same as I got in my final result. I was surprised because I totally forgot what I asked for from the Universe and the Almighty did not forget it. It brought to me exactly what I asked for.

Ever since that time, I have had so many different experiences but this one has always been my inspiration, mostly because I created it out of the blue. Now whenever I feel a little down, it tells me, “If that little girl could do it, you can do it too”. All I want to say is that have faith in yourself and the Universe and that you deserve what you are asking for. Ask for it and let it go. Try to keep yourself happy and find joy in the little things around you. It can be a bird nesting in your garden, a stray dog who visits you every day, that tree in front of your house, that little sprout that comes out of the grain, that new leaf in your Aglonema, your own creativity, or anything you choose to see. Just be happy. The Universe remembers even if you forget about it. It will take care of everything. Having faith and gratitude is the key.
