I read The Secret many years ago before I had children. I had just given birth to my second child and money was tight as I was no longer working. I imagined and wrote down what I wished for which was a Black Escalade. I knew it was crazy but I thought that if something like that was to work, everything else would have to fall into place. An opportunity arose which moved us to a different town and allowed me to purchase the exact truck of my dreams!

A few years went by and my husband and I started to drift apart. Every time I would start to worry about it I would remember and have faith in the Universe and know that things would work out, one way or another. I read The Magic and then I started to do the work. I wrote down my perfect mate and cut out a picture from a magazine of a beautiful man walking down the street with a hat and sunglasses holding a beautiful baby boy. I had always wanted 3 children. Two boys and a girl. I had a beautiful, healthy boy and girl but was getting older and decided not to try for more.

Then my husband and I had come to an agreement and separated after 10 years of marriage. I was at a car show with my sister one day and a man looking exactly like the picture I had cut out from the magazine, came into my view. He had a hat and sunglasses and was holding a baby boy in one hand and in the other hand, he held a balloon and a leash which led to a beautiful brown dog. I looked at my sister and said jokingly that this guy would be my future husband. She looked at me and said “I think so too” and we started to laugh.

I made my way over to look at one of the cars and he appeared beside me. We talked about his beautiful son and puppy and how wonderful the car show was. He mentioned he too was recently single and was spending as much time as he could with his son whenever he was not working. We exchanged numbers as he was going away for work for the next 3 weeks. We got to know each other through phone calls, texts and emails.

When he came back home 3 weeks later I knew he was the love of my life. We eventually moved in together and as I was packing up my things I came across all of the work I did and had saved when I read The Magic. There on the top of the papers was the picture I had cut out of the man with the hat and sunglasses holding the baby boy!
