Anyway I replied that I had heard about it but did not know what it was about. My son was interested in it also so the three of us (my daughter, my son and myself) read up on it and decided to make it part of our life. That coming Christmas I decided I wanted the DVD and my daughter’s friend bought her the book so we were well on our way.

Time passed and then one day I opened the national newspaper to find there was a competition to win a trip to New York for a film premier for a blockbusting film that was to be released. My daughter and I are real big fans of this movie and I said to my husband and son right there and then after reading the entry rules “We are going to win this competition, we are going to New York and staying in that hotel “, My husband laughed but my son believed me. I have to tell you the feeling of joy and excitement and happiness I felt at that moment was what made me believe and know we were going to win. If you were not a believer in the secret then you would laugh at this but we believers know that that is the feeling you get.

My daughter who knew nothing of the competition up to now came home from work to be greeted by me grabbing her and telling her about it, and part of the competition entry was to submit a short story comparing how you are the character in the movie. Down we sat and within moments she had compiled and submitted online to the newspaper .

The next day I got a call, yes 24 hrs later she called me to say the radio show who was working with the newspaper to promote the competition called her to say her story was picked to be short listed and could she go on air to be interviewed. We were jumping with joy.

She did a wonderful interview live on air and was then through to the next round.
There were semi final auditions and then a final quiz in the radio studio where the finalists would take part live on air in a quiz where you would be eliminated if you did not get the correct answer. The prize was for a trip to New York for one person and three friends (who also believe in the secret) all paid with spending money and my daughter said she would talk myself and two of her friends so we all went to Dublin (capital) for the final quiz and guess what?? Yes we won!

Live on air they asked us how we entered the competition and asked us what the notice was written before us on the table during the quiz final and I told them that the only reason we won was I believed in the secret and that the paper before us all during the competition had three little words on it ASK, BELIEVE, RECEIVE. Well we went to New York last year, we were treated like royalty, we had a magical dream come true and all thanks to the secret because we did ask, we did believe and we did receive.
