A couple of days ago, I viewed The Secret and thought I would try it out. I practiced the blue feather test (from the book Illusions) as a way to start off, so that if it didn’t come true, I wouldn’t be too disappointed. I spent a good part of today thinking things to myself about the feather. I pictured it – long, dark blue and quite large – and believed that it would soon be mine. I kept looking on the ground at times, hoping it would magically appear in front of me. But I knew in my heart that this would not work, and that, like The Secret film informed me, it would come naturally to me as long as I had faith that it would, and didn’t go searching for it.

It’s surprising how quickly my desire for the feather slipped out of my mind. I spent the afternoon in classes, so my mind was occupied with that.

This evening, my friends and I went into town for an event, and I remember thinking a couple of times about the dark blue feather. Then we went into a pub, and when I saw what I saw, my jaw dropped. Hanging from the ceiling in our area of the pub were about a dozen masks, all of which had about 6 long, dark blue feathers sticking out. Not only had I manifested a blue feather, I was surrounded by dozens of them hanging above me. I took a picture with my phone. I was so tempted to steal one of the feathers, but my friend advised me against it!

I’m so happy this occurred. I’m going to try a couple more of these tests with other objects before setting forward with my real goals, just to make doubly sure that this was no freak coincidence. Something tells me it’s not.
