So this afternoon I was at Cameron park Woolworths getting a few things. I got to the checkout and saw a lady in her 80’s in front of me buying a few things. I said to the checkout girl, I will pay for her items. The elderly lady did not hear me say it, she gave the $20 note to the checkout girl, who gave it to me and I gave it back to the elderly lady! I had no idea what she was buying but could see one main item in her trolley, toilet paper. There was such shock and surprise in her eyes, she was almost in tears, and the checkout girl was absolutely shocked. The old lady goes to me, “That has never happened to me my entire life.” I said to her, “Good deed done for the day.” The guy behind me said, “Thanks mate I will be doing the same thing in the future, that was unreal.”
So I thought about it and here it is: I challenge anyone out there on my Facebook, friends of friends, and here to do the same in the future. A few dollars out of our own pockets whilst at a checkout to an elderly person in front of us to make their day, or even week easier in these hard times.
Good karma is what’s needed most in the times we live in now. Do not think twice about it, just do it. Hey, and you will be amazed at how much of a good feeling you will get from it. It’s the best feeling I reckon I’ve ever experienced. Get sharing, challenge set!
