Rhonda aptly used this sentence in the opening scene of The Secret. That at the time of your greatest despair comes your greatest gift and the same came true for me when I read The Secret.
At the time of reading The Secret, I literally had no idea what to do to attract the partner of my dreams. My love life was in doldrums as the person I loved (name undisclosed for personal reasons) did not even realize that I loved her.
And guess what??
Her marriage was even fixed up. Even though I loved this person, more than anything else I was afraid that using The Secret would infringe the on the rights of the guy who was supposed to be her groom. But as The Secret clearly states that the world has abundance for everyone, I finally decided to pursue my dreams.
It was damn difficult at first, believe me. The mind revolts like anything when you give up your old school thoughts and beliefs and my case was no different when I tried to make myself feel loved and wanted by the person I loved. The Magic soon followed and I found just the perfect ingredient to replace my negative thoughts – GRATITUDE.
Every time a negative thought would creep up, instead of fighting or resisting it, I would replace it with thoughts of gratitude for the Universe for bringing to me the person of my dreams.
Days followed and the effects were there for everyone to see. The person whom I thought had no idea of my feelings suddenly started liking and appreciating each and every little thing about me. I knew the Universe was at work.
And the rest, as they say, is history. Mountains were removed, valleys got exalted and every crooked place was made straight, just by the power of gratitude and feeling good about myself. I dated this lady for a year and now we are happily married.
I cannot help but express my heartfelt gratitude to the Universe for making my dreams a reality.
Thank You! Thank You! Thank You Rhonda and Thank You! Thank You! Thank You o dear Universe, you will never cease to amaze me!!
