My name is Crystal, and as of about a year and a half ago (April 2007) I am now a makeup artist.

When I was younger I had always wanted to go to makeup school and become a makeup artist. When I turned 18 I planned on going to a good makeup school, but I just didn’t have enough money.

One day I went into Borders bookstore, and I picked up this rare book. Well, to me it was rare – I had never seen anything like it. It was in between other books randomly on a shelf. So I picked it up and I read The Secret. I was amazed and I was so intrigued, I just bought it and I bought the movie too.

I made a list of what I wanted to do, and becoming a makeup artist was one of them. I visualized with every desire. My date to start makeup school was coming, and the whole amount came out to 7,500. But I still didn’t have enough money. I was 5,000 dollars short, and I was starting to feel myself give up. But then I said, ‘No. I’m going to Mud, I’m going to Mud.’ (makeup design school)

Then, just 4 days before the school started, I got a call from a friend of mine saying that he knew 2 young ladies from an Echoes of Hope Foundation, who help people like me with big dreams, and that they see that I am serious and that they would help me. Well, the next day they invited me to lunch to speak with me and they ended up liking me and were willing to help me. And then they pull out this check for $5,000, saying, “Here is the rest of the money for your school.” I was so thrilled!

I am so grateful to know that law of attraction really does exist, and if you set your mind to it nothing or no-one can get in your way. Thank you to Stacia and Laura (the two young ladies) who helped me achieve my goals. Thank you Rhonda Byrne for making this book possible. God bless you!
