I got to make my dreams come true through using The Secret. I don’t think I expected it to be so real but I tried anyways. I came across The Secret through The Oprah Winfrey show. It came to me during the most troubled times in my life, 5 years ago when I was probably on the verge of giving up and contemplating suicide. I am grateful that watching The Secret changed my worldview. It changed how I looked at myself, my relationships, life and people in general. My life before and after finding The Secret is truly distinct.

In addition to having been able to cure my relationship with my parents, especially my dad, I was able to manifest a life of my dreams. I do not belong to a rich family and my dad never had enough money to send me to a western country for studies. Even though I had a good job back then and was earning way more than my contemporaries, I didn’t have enough to fund my education in a European country. Nonetheless, this was a major dream. I wanted to study and live in Europe as well as travel the continent and meet new people. So I decided to apply The Secret. I applied to many universities in Europe and got acceptance letters from a few universities. I found out that there are some universities in Europe that provide education for free and my dream seemed closer. I got accepted to a university in Sweden as well and the course seemed really good. However, they did not give me the scholarship that I had applied for. I had some savings and decided to take a leap of faith. I went to Sweden anyways and told the university that I would hardly be able to finish one year if I do not have a scholarship. They didn’t give an encouraging response. I kept on thanking Universe every day for the scholarship. I was on a tight budget so I couldn’t travel Europe. After the first term I had excelled in my academics. I went back to the student’s office and requested them to reconsider my scholarship application now that they have seen me excel in their academic system. Still no positive response. I still thanked God for the scholarship that was in place for me.

After almost half the year, our student coordinator came to me and said “Hang in there. There might be something coming your way.” Then a month later they gave me a huge scholarship for the second year of education. I was ecstatic. I knew The Secret had worked. I thought, wow, great! So now I can finish off my first year with some of this money and I can stay here for the next year. It’s great.

Summer went by and then came the second year. I had just enough money to spend the second year in Sweden. But the Universe had another surprise for me. One fine morning, without any expectation, I got an email from the student office telling me that they have given me an even bigger scholarship for the second year! For a few seconds I didn’t know what that meant. I already had a scholarship and they gave me another one!! I called my student office to confirm and it was true! I had two huge scholarships which meant just so much more money than I actually needed. I realized this money was here so I can fulfill my dreams. I had a vision board of all the places I wanted to visit in Europe and a picture of a DSLR camera so that I could do some good photography. I bought the camera and then I traveled around all of Europe. This was so cool. I went to all the countries I had dreamed of and met a lot of new people. I loved discovering Europe.

I did a lot of photography. I got better and better. When I got back home after finishing my studies, I took my photography to an art gallery who loved and showcased it. I am now selling my photography.

I know that I have used the magic of gratitude for manifesting my dreams. It was not always easy to keep living in a state of gratitude, especially when we are surrounded by so much negativity sometimes. But that’s the thing, it is easy to be positive when everything around us is positive, but the real thing is to stay positive when negativity threatens to consume us.
