My First of Many Windfalls

Newmarket, ONI am truly blessed and grateful for having been introduced to The Secret. THANK YOU, THANK THANK YOU!!!!! I absolutely BELIEVE.
I had decided approximately eight months ago that I would like to receive $100,000. I followed the steps of The Secret and every day I would repeat what Lisa in “The Secret” video said: “I know, like I know, like I know that it’s on its way. It’s what I like to call unwavering faith, believing in the unseen.”
Nothing happened for a couple of months but I was not discouraged.
My husband and I had someone out of the blue who wanted to purchase our townhouse and she had made us an offer of $310,000 which was $2,000 more than the house that had sold right next door to us and was 200 square feet larger. I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but I just felt that this was not a good deal, even though it was more than what our neighbour got. So we decided not to sell the house.
When this woman made an offer there was another townhouse on the market for $340,000 and I couldn’t figure out why they were asking so much when the offer we just got was actually a very decent one.
Anyway, approx four months later, my brother in law (who is our agent) had popped by our house because he needed to use our printer. While he was at our computer I asked him if he could check if that townhouse sold and if so for what price. Once he started to check, he noticed that a few townhouses had sold in the price range of $345,000. So I got thinking. What if we put our house on the market and see what happens?
We listed our house for $349,900. My husband and I thought we if don’t get what we want we won’t sell. Our agent decided to hold off offers for us for ten days. We received two offers that day. The highest one which we DID decide to take was for $360 000 which was $10,000 over asking. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever think that we were going to even get close to our asking price.
I did not realize it right away but here’s the kicker…
We had purchased the house two and a half years prior for $259 900. That was my $100,000. Pretty amazing I think.
