Moving to a new flat
Submitted by: Katerina
Prague, Czech Republic29-year old bank clerk and teacher, learning to love myself and live my life to the fullest. My experience is if you are clear about what you want and you believe you can have it; even if you have no idea how that could appear in your life, it will come. I feel it is the right time for me to prove it in my private life as well. I now want to make myself really happy and content with my life as a unique beautiful woman :-) and magnetize a unique great man into my life.
A month ago I was told by my current flatmate his girlfriend would move into his flat in two months which means I need to find a new place to live. I was not surprised at all as I felt it coming for some time, even though my flatmate insisted he was not sure if they wanted to live together at all. So I started searching for a new place.
I went through a lot of ads and step by step the idea of my future room formed in my mind. During this time I also had the feeling I wouldn’t move in September but maybe a month earlier.
I knew I wanted my room to be large (now I have a 12 square meter room), with a wooden floor, unfurnished or with just enough furniture so my own can fit in easily. I wanted it to be in a quiet place, close to a park, near to both of my jobs, with an equipped kitchen with a gas stove and I wanted to live alone or with some really nice people (I did not quite like the idea of living with someone I don’t know).
As I was going through the ads, I found a flat with a place to sleep that was kind of separated from the rest of the room due to the ground plan and I liked it a lot (I wanted to have the feeling of privacy when having a guest). And I thought it would be nice to have a part of the room painted violet – but this was really something extra I could not currently afford to pay for.
Then one day a friend called asking if I knew about someone who wants to move. I said cheerily: “Yes, me :-)”.
Well the room is everything I wanted; it was once two rooms so it is really BIG and my friend’s former flatmate even painted half of this room violet :-))). When I came to see the flat it felt so right!
By that time there was a big sofa, a middle sized sofa, plus an armchair in the room – which was a bit too much. I wished I only had the middle sized sofa, plus armchair.
One of my flatmates needed something to sit on so he took the big sofa, and again I have what I wanted, plus there is a huge luxurious Jacuzzi in the bathroom I did not even dream of!
As for my flatmates they are both bartenders which means they work at night when I am asleep and are home when I am at work so a part of the week it will feel like living completely alone whereas for some days there will be always someone to chat with :-))).
And I am moving in August. 🙂
