From failure to 100% pass for dream job
Submitted by: Raymond, C
glasgow, cumbernauldI am a martial arts instructor and personal trainer and rehabilitation coach. I graduated central college in 2008 with a HND in health fitness and exercise.
My story begins last april when I began the army recruiting process, I attended the army training every wednesday, quickly going from a red bib (beginner) to green bib (advanced). I began filling out all the relevent forms, including the RG8 which is the army medical form that goes to my doctor.
The months before I began my army application I had some type of non-epilectic attack due to mega stress from my dad having cancer, my good freind passing away, and my brother not supporting me. This lasted for 4 weeks then I began to heal myself using teachings from The Secret. I learned to heal myself quickly after watching the program several times. Then, I began the army process.
I went to see my doctor regarding what had happend to me, and explaind that the army would not allow me in after the attacks only months earlier, but on faith my doctor said it would be fine as I am not epileptic, it was not so.
The form was filled in and sent back to the army medical people at ADSC, while this was being processed I attended the personal development training day 1 day assessment, I passed with flying colors, then I attended the army 5 day ‘look at life’ army course, which I also passed with flying colors again. During the time on the 5 day course 2 of the people where pulled off due to medical reasons found by the army medical doctors, they phoned the trainers and told them to get them off the course, and sent them home.
During the week I was away the ADSC army doctors had already seen and looked at my medical forms, yet alowed me to stay on the course, one week after I succesfully completed the course, they rejected me on medical grounds, even after I out ran the younger applicants, and showed more strengths, so it was here I really started to use the law of attraction to get my dream job.
I began by appealing their decision, sending them a letter from my doctor, and the neurologist that had seen to me while in hospital, both letters clearly stated that i was not a risk. I waited on a reply, but again they said the same, then an idea hit me, write down how I want things to go, so I began writing down the following:
“Congratulations on passing the medical, you are clear to pass”, this I wrote several times throughout the day.
Then I created a calendar with dates on it, using a pink marker pen marking dates I will be leaving for army training and attending courses, the dates represent my goal being achieved. I appeild again this time to a different sector of the army medical area.
They where very helpful and polite but yet they also rejected me again this time sending me information I had never seen before. So I wrote back to them stating everything I had acheived during the last few months, and where this other information came from. I asked them to send me to there doctors to prove I was in good health.
They sent me to see a neurologist, last December, who stated on his report that he could find nothing wrong with me and he could see no reason for them to reject me, so he wrote a letter to the army psychiatrist, but I never got this till after xmas, on the 15th of january.
Now the army state on the application forms that you can only gain entry if you are beween 17 and 32 and 11 months. I am now 33 years old.
Anyway I got to see the doctor, we had a chat and he also said that he could see nothing wrong with me and I was A1 fit for armed forces service, he said that I could be waiting up to 1 year to hear back, I was worried, but said to him I hope it only takes a few weeks.
Again I used the law of attraction telling myself I had mail from the army and 4 weeks later I got the letter and my medical was cleared, I was told in the letter to continue my army application as soon as possible, so I went back to the recruiting office and told them the news, I had to wait for them to get the letter, they got the letter 2 days later and informed me of this.
So it now begins again, I attended the personal development day passing easily, then I attended the army 5 day look at life course and again passed easily. Then, I got the letter I was dreaming of since last year, the letter to attend the army selection centre, which I had only seen on dvds, and visited on the 5 day course.
I did a visualization session where I was on the bus getting off outside the army selection centre, with my bag, I walked into the building, got my number and went for my medical. This was very powerful, I felt like I was really there, I could even smell the place.
During this whole process I used visualization, mantras, positive thoughts, and goal lists, even buying the book The Secret and the other book The Key to the Law of Attraction to help me along the way, these worked well for me.
Surprisingly, I attended the army selection on the 15th and 16th of this month and passed with an A grade, just what I wanted, biggest smile ever on my face, but again my age was holding me back, just a bit.
I held in my head that the army want me, they want me. So last week I went to see them and guess what, I was now allocated a place on phase 1 basic training.
The strangest thing during all this was that the dates picked on the calander the year before, had all come true, things happend on the days marked!
I say thank you to the universe every day for giving me the power to get my dream job and thanks to the wonderful law of attraction I can now do my dream job, and serve as a soldier in the British army. I see things I had never seen and do things I will only get to do in the army, skydive, drive, see different parts on the world, etc.
Thank you universe and thank you Rhonda for sharing The Secret with us all.
