Shocked From What My Friend Asked
Submitted by: Stacey M.
IrelandI'm 17 at the moment, I live with my parents, I have a pretty normal life like everyone else. Nothing special about me.
I’ve always been a really big Lady Gaga fan, and I really wanted to go to her concert. Last summer I found out about the Secret, and I wasnt too sure if it would work, but I decided to test it out on something that wasnt likely to happen. I set my goal to go see Lady Gaga’s concert and be in front row. At the time I didn’t even know she had a concert coming up, The Monster Ball Tour, so I had no idea tickets would be going on sale in a few weeks. I did, however, set my goal to see her and be in front row, and I read over that goal every day, and believed it. I was imagining myself screaming my head off in front row as she sang ”Just Dance”, my favourite song.
A few weeks later I found out from a friend that Lady Gaga tickets were going on sale in a few days, and I was thinking to myself, ”The secret is already working :D” …but we didn’t plan on getting the tickets, it was a lazy day.
I didn’t even bother asking my parents to let me go because I went to see Beyonce only about a month ago, and I have strict parents, so I knew they wouldn’t let me.
A few days later, in school, one of my best friends asked me if we could talk. I said sure.
Firstly, she put a big smile on her face, then she said to me, ”OMG guess what!! My dad has access to get priority tickets to see LADY GAGA!! He said he could get me 3 tickets so I can go and I can invite two other friends!! 😀 I already asked Anna and she said yes so do you wanna go with us??” I almost screamed when she asked me!! I could not believe it!! And it wasn’t just tickets, it was PRIORITY TICKETS!! Meaning we could get front row if we queued up early enough!!!! 😀
So I called my mam that minute asking her if I could go because my friend’s dad needed to know at that point if I could go because the presale tickets were going on sale the next day… and she let me!! Almost because my friend’s dad said she wouldn’t be allowed go unless there were at least 3 of us going, so I managed to persuade my mam into letting me go!! I was really really excited!!! Mostly because we had a chance of getting front row!!!!!!!
And you know what happened on the day of the concert? Our parents wouldn’t let us go as early as we thought would give us a chance to get front row, because they said it was too dangerous and we’d be freezing in the cold. That was a big downer. We ended up going about 1 and a half hours before the gates opened and there were loads of people there already. I thought we’d never get front row, but I had one and a half hours to work the magic of the Secret again, so I started to imagine myself up at the front – or at least in second or third row.
And what happened? WE GOT SECOND ROW!!!! Even if there were tons of people in the queue before us!!! 😀
The Secret really does work, I have no doubt about it!! 😀
