My epiphany – hope it helps you too!

Salem, WII am so happy and grateful for everything!
I’ve been actively working The Secret since July 2009, although I had initially read it around a year ago. What really helps me keep my focus is listening to the CD’s almost daily. I think for many of us, there are areas of our lives we have used The Secret unknowingly to good end and other areas where we have created a self-destructive pattern. For me, this area was finances. As the years have rolled by, this area became more and more troublesome for me – despite the bits of The Secret information I have received from other sources for the last 20+ years.
You see, I had developed such a fear response around money and the need for it and the lack of it in my residual reality that I kept getting more of the same – even when I made real, “should have worked” efforts to change that. Why? Because I never changed my inner dialog about money – even when I thought I had! What I have learned now, I am sharing in the hope that it may help another who is in a pattern that s/he just cannot seem to break.
Need and want are tricky – especially want because it can disguise itself so well. The fact is when you are in a space of wanting more (money, good health, etc.) you create more want not the actual thing you desire. It took me listening to the CD’s repeatedly before I really got this. Here is where it got tricky for me. If I tried to do affirmations when I was in that space of want/need (which is really fear), it tended to backfire on me because my “feeling frequency” was all wrong – I was filled with the “wanting” of more money. When I realized this, I found it too difficult to get myself to the right frequency while still trying to address my inner dialog about money.
However, using two of the shortcuts Rhonda and the team provide manages everything in my life beautifully. The first is GRATITUDE. I cannot emphasize enough how this will really shift your thought-feeling frequency if done daily as often as possible. Not just going through your gratitude list, but also just saying it for the multitude of small and large kindnesses, services, etc. you receive each day – including those you give yourself. Secondly, I just say one affirmation, which Rhonda provides in the last CD (I believe it is quoted from Charles Haanel): “I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving harmonious and happy.” This affirmation, used with feeling will transform every area of your life without having to ask for money, then ask for good health, and the job and the ___ [you fill in the blank]. It’s not about the things – its about transforming the self to the frequency that only allows good things to come and that is just a thought away!
As for the residual financial pattern – it is transforming itself – but more importantly I find myself less inclined to panic over money issues and more mindful when those thoughts come up to go back to gratitude and my one affirmation.
