Live Up To Your Potential
Submitted by: Kevin R.
Melcher-Dallas IowaI am an 18 year old athlete in high school.
Before I moved to this small town in Iowa I was very unsure of my life and what was going on in it. I was constantly hearing from my coaches: “You have so much potential if you just live up to it.” The thing is, I just didn’t know how to live up to it. I remember my freshman year I wrestled on the varsity team and I wanted to be good and impress the coach, but I couldn’t. I just couldn’t. I tried hard in practice and did everything I could possibly think of to make myself better. And now that I think back on it… I wasn’t happy. I didn’t have a real reason to live. I didn’t enjoy my life.
My mom knew that I was feeling down and wasn’t happy at all, so she gave me The Secret book. I looked through it and didn’t really think much of it. As my high school career continued I kept on hearing the same thing from my coaches.
About 8 months ago I was just sick of my life and moved in with my dad and started a new life. A couple months after I moved in I found The Secret book my mom gave me and read it and applied it to my life. I am sooo thankful that I read it… I am amazingly happy with my life and could not imagine my life without The Secret. I used The Secret in my sports and now I’m one of the best athletes to come through this small town of Melcher-Dallas. I have found what I have been seeking my whole life, and that is something to live for. My mind thinks so different than it used to… I live up to my potential in everything I do. I am now running in the state track meet this week in the 100 meter dash. I would have never thought of achieving something such as this in my life.
I am so proud of myself, and I will continue to live this way till the end of time. One day, people, my name will be known world wide and I will live my dream of being someone instead of an “average Joe.”
My advice to you all is to take in and apply The Secret’s teachings and let it bring you the happiness everyone in this world deserves and wants. Live your life to full potential!
