A new beginning

Bangalore, IndiaI work with a Multinational ITES Company as Manager - Human Resources, and would like to give it all up to become a full-time writer.
Whilst growing up I was a dreamer, and once I did grow up, I changed into a full-time realist bordering on being a pessimist.
Every time someone said or did something good, I would look for an ulterior motive. And as I turned into this pessimistic person, I started being surrounded by such people. The Law of Attraction was doing its job.
I had my heart broken a few times in relationships. I was also not doing very well at work. I constantly felt that I was being taken for granted and wasn’t getting what I really deserved. To fill the gaps for lack of happiness in my life I became a compulsive shopper. I maxed out 12 of my Credit Cards, had huge personal loans, and my salary was never enough to repay these debts.
As an icing on the cake, my relationship with my mother was traumatic. The worst of one of the arguments with my Mom happened a few weeks ago, and I was at an all time low.
I called a very close friend of mine in Singapore and was almost crying over the phone telling her all my woes. It was then she recommended that I read “The Secret”.
I couldn’t buy the book right away because though I wanted to, I didn’t get a chance to buy it. After about two weeks I bought the book and started reading it the same night.
The book has transformed me completely. I stop myself every time I get a so-called “realisitic” thought in my mind. I am grateful for things that I’d taken for granted for so long. In my relationship with my mother, I began to appreciate the little things she does, and our relationship has improved considerably.
I have also started waking up each morning in a good mood, because of which my entire day goes well.
I have become more hopeful about my financial situation. After about a week of reading The Secret followed by “The Science of Getting Rich”, I sent out an intention to the Universe. And kept believing that I already have the money, and visualised the different things I would do with the money, etc. Out of nowhere I got a text message on my mobile that I have won a lottery, and I am expecting those funds within the next ten days.
All in all my life has changed for the better.
