Keep thinking positive thoughts
Submitted by: Chanda K
Mechanicsville, MDI am a home daycare provider with 2 children. I am forever grateful for The Secret and all of the wonderful things I attract.
Well I sent in a story last spring of several examples of law of attraction that came to me, but I just had to share what happened today.
The school district in my area has a limited space Pre-Kindergarten program that I wanted my son to go to. This particular one provides transportation. I run a daycare out of my home so I am pretty much home-bound with 9 kids. Unless I have a small bus I can’t go anywhere. Anyway, the testing was held last May. I was hoping he would get in since he has a slight speech problem. We were to be notified at the end of July on who got in. I kept visualizing getting a phone call saying he got in. I would have a conversation in my mind about it. I visualized him and I getting school supplies. I imagined him getting on the school bus. I just kept picturing it over the next few months.
When I heard the list was completed (Aug 4th) I called the school and found out he was 4th on the waiting list. My first thought was disappointment, but I changed my thought to positive thinking. I again pictured getting a phone call saying we now have an opening for him.
As the first day of school was getting closer (Aug 20) I felt a little skeptical, but I kept thinking positive thoughts. Wouldn’t you know, today Aug 14th I got a call saying there is an opening. There was a child that was going to transfer to another school, so my son was now able fill that spot. I was ecstatic! I was so excited and so grateful. BUT then, 15 minutes later she called back and said, I am deeply sorry, but that child’s transfer didn’t go through, and now your son is 1st on the waiting list. Again I wanted to be sad, but I said, no, I will get a call before school starts. I kept thinking thoughts of that woman calling me back saying, guess what, we have an opening. I kept saying, I’m so grateful he got in.
Wouldn’t you know, 45 minutes later that same day, she called and said that a mother of a child that was on the list decided not to attend, and that my son has a sure spot now. I jumped up and down and told my son, you do get to go! I think I was more excited than he was. I just felt so reassured by the law of attraction. It may not mean much to some people, but to me this event was so important because I really felt he needs this head-start before he goes to Kindergarten next year.
So when something isn’t going your way, keep thinking positive thoughts – don’t get discouraged.
