A Living and Working Miracle!

I am another miracle that can testify how the Universe supports me! I had been thinking about the Law of Attraction for years, but recently decided to really, really, really get it. You see, I was in a negative job situation when I chose (after watching The Secret supplemented by other teachings) to live, breathe, think right/good/positive/joyous thoughts 24/7. I even slept with a positive affirmations “Law of Attraction” CD playing. I finally got to understood the nitty gritty. If my thoughts strayed, I silently told myself “switch” to something good. I reached for the good thought. Sometimes I was saying “switch” every other minute!
When everyone in my small office received a raise and bonus except me (well, no bonus and a 1.5% raise – yeah, right!), I had two options. They were to go in the bathroom and cry and curse, or know that all is well and wish strong blessings on my boss. I chose the latter – and really believed it. I then looked on my computer at a job site – in a part of the site that I had not looked at before – and found something that sounded perfect. I had actually been job-searching for nearly a year. Later, at home, I applied. Two weeks later, I received the offer with a nearly $10,000 yearly boost in income, and in walking distance to my home! I had been making a 1.5 hour commute each way. I am so grateful and told my boss that – sincerely – how grateful I was. Truth is, my former position was not the job, nor the place for me, but I DID learn things there. My former boss handed me a $500 “exit bonus” complete with a beautiful lunch, and I am happily working in my new position.
A big “secret” for me is to truly want the very best for everyone – especially those you felt may have done you wrong – be that true or not. That and as one of my teachers say, “joying your way to joy.” (By the way, I am in my mid-50’s and African-American at a job that values all types of diversity. Thank You God!)
