MY NEW GARAGE DOOR!

Ely, IA.25 year old mother, wife, and believer!
My husband and I were very excited to get our first house. We never thought we would be able to afford a house near my parents and several family members, so we continued to look elsewhere, still wanting to be in Ely. One morning about an hour after we found out our offer wasn’t accepted on a house further away, my aunt called and said a realtor was literally putting a sign up in the yard across the street from her. We called our realtor right away and she said that it was out of our price range but still very under priced for the neighborhood. We said we wanted to see it even though we initially thought it was out of our price range, and although she was hesitant because it was more than we were pre-approved for, she showed it to us anyway.
My husband called the bank to see if there was any way we could be approved for more. The banker called us back like an hour later and said, “You’re approved.” We couldn’t believe it. Nothing changed financially, but we got our house, and love every bit of it.
Anyway… to get to the garage door. We’ve been slowly making improvements to our house, and we really wanted a new garage door for more curb appeal because the one we had was dented and kind of rough. Knowing we didn’t have the money for it, I called and got several quotes anyway. I told my husband about the prices I got, and said at least we know how much to save. Even though I didnt know how or when we would come up with the money, I knew we would get a new garage door eventually. I even had a conversation with the neighbor about the kind of garage door we wanted to get, and that we were hopefully going to be replacing the existing one soon.
About a week later, the DHL delivery guy forgot to put his truck in park and smashed our garage door! My mom called me at work (my mom was at our house watching our two year old son) and said, “You’re never going to believe what just happened!!! You’re getting a new garage door for free!”
All you have to do is believe! Leave how it’s going to happen up to the Universe!!! I love pulling up to my house with my new garage door- that we didnt even have to pay for!!! 🙂
