Sing A Song For Myself.

Cebu,PhilippinesI am Filipino and I do speak English fluently. I am 22 years old. I am the third and only daughter out of all my siblings. I grew up in a place called Minglanilla, here in Cebu. I am currently taking B.S. Architecture.
I grew up thinking that I would expect every negative outcome to happen in every circumstance in my life. That’s just the way I was taught to think. Never expect something good to come out of things. To prevent hurting myself. That’s what my mother taught me. I loved her despite her negativity.
I am quite good academically although I never did shine like the others. As a result I got bullied in my elementary and high school days. I was OK with that, I never had that fighting spirit back then.
My life spiraled around negativity, as if never wanting to get out of it. Until, my brother’s girlfriend introduced me to The Secret.
I was just starting college back then. I didn’t really believe in that stuff. I thought that if I wanted things my way and people thought the same, how could everyone have their own way? As a result, I ignored it. My first three years in college, I got bullied by my classmates, verbally. I am not proud of this. Who would, right?
To cut to the chase, I got tired of thinking negative things and started watching The Secret video, reading The Secret Stories, and even borrowing The Secret book from my ate (that’s what we call our sisters or girl-friends here) because I didn’t have one.
I transferred to another school and although there were a few of my ever hateful followers, I tended to ignore them.
Little by little, I began to notice every single person in my life, I now am attracting. People who knew The Secret.
And all the bullying stopped.
I had a dream of singing in front of a crowd and getting paid for it, too. What I did, which made me look silly, was to bring a mirror in my room, dressed in the finest clothes there is in my closet, took an old microphone and started to sing random songs pretending there was a crowd that went crazy over my performance. I did this for a week and it felt great!!! I was happy!
After a week, my friend called me and told me someone wanted someone to sing for their event. He wondered if I was interested. I agreed without a doubt.
I got nervous but when I got in front of them, my nervousness never got to me. After we performed, the organizer approached us and gave us an envelope with money inside. WOW!!!
I went home feeling happy.
Thinking. Recalling. I was in shock to know that I had visualized, I felt happy and boom! It happened! As if it was magic.
I am still applying it till this day knowing it helps me achieve my dreams in life.
