Gratitude For Fresh Drinking Water.

Due to a basement wall issue I have had my water in my home shut off. This has been going on for two months and will be resolved soon.
I have to walk a couple of doors down to my parents home with a wagon to collect water in buckets and lug them up some stairs into my home.
My relatives and friends cannot understand how I am handling the situation. Before reading The Secret I probably wouldn’t have been able to take this problem as easily as I have been these last two months.
Even though the buckets are heavy and it takes a few trips to get enough water to cook with and to drink each day, all I can think about is those people in other countries who do not have access to fresh water. Who have to walk far distances to get water and sometimes the water they get is polluted. How do they cook and keep themselves clean? Do laundry? Stay healthy without drinking fresh water.
We just turn on a tap and there it is. I am so grateful for access to fresh water. My basement problem really feels like a non-issue.
My hope in telling my story is to inspire people to support any programs that help bring fresh water to those in need.
